The simple web service for commercial lottery agents

The new State Treaty on Gambling is arriving

The new State Treaty on Gambling comes into effect on 1 July 2021 (GlüStV 2021). This will allow commercial lottery agents to operate conventional lottery games LOTTO, GlücksSpirale, Eurojackpot and KENO, for which our in|BOUND web service provides a standardised interface.

Regionalisation with in|BOUND

Ticket purchases are to be communicated to the respective state lottery company of the German state in which the online user lives. Lottery tickets are purchased via technical interfaces connected to the respective state lottery companies.

This is where the challenge begins for commercial lottery agents. There are 16 different state lottery companies in Germany, which means:

16 lottery systems from different producers with different technical solutions and protocol families
16 different VPN connections
16 integration tests
Taking into account changes to interfaces in the future

Having a single interface that can be operated makes it easier for tickets to be purchased. This is where we come in with our web service, which includes the technical operation and technical connection to all 16 state lottery companies.

Our solution

adesso has extensive experience in implementing the interfaces discussed above. More and more German state lottery companies and commercial lottery agents are placing their trust in our in|BOUND solution to handle their interface issues.

Our in|BOUND web service provides a standardised interface, so that commercial lottery agents no longer need to take care of the technical implementation of regionalisation. in|BOUND encrypts these interfaces and also uses a standardised format (XML). The provided interfaces include all functionalities required for the gaming environment.
