adesso’s run of success in generative AI (GenAI) continues unabated. Last year, the IT service provider achieved its ambitious targets ahead of time, and that momentum has continued into 2025: after the third quarter alone, adesso more than doubled its GenAI revenue for the entire previous year. By that point, the company had completed more than 100 projects for more than 50 customers. A key driver of this development is significantly increased demand for production-ready AI solutions that can be integrated quickly, securely and seamlessly into existing business processes. Demand is particularly strong in the banking, retail and public administration sectors.

Three years after the launch of ChatGPT, Generative AI (GenAI) has arrived at companies. Despite this, GenAI has yet to play more than a limited role in their core business processes. This was revealed by a survey conducted on ChatGPT’s birthday by IT service provider adesso. According to the survey, 89 percent of the nearly 500 managers who took part use generative AI in their companies, but only 37 percent also use the technology in their central business processes. The majority of applications remain in the support areas such as communication, marketing, or administration. This means that companies are not fully exploiting the potential of GenAI.

The focus is on intelligently connecting existing IT architectures with innovative technologies, utilizing existing company data, leveraging the power of modern LLMs, and providing a deep understanding of business processes and change management.

This award, bestowed by TOTAL E-QUALITY Deutschland e.V., recognises the sustained and effective integration of equal opportunities and diversity within the company’s everyday operations. The award is valid for the years 2025 to 2027.
