Growing challenges in international trade and modernisation requirements in the SAP environment are significantly increasing demand for process and IT consulting among global companies. adesso business consulting, the adesso SE subsidiary of specialising in business and SAP solutions, is responding strategically by investing in its own capacity. The consulting firm is strengthening its team with additional specialists in the SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) and S/4 HANA for International Trade solutions in order to future-proof its customers in times of growing trade conflicts.

Implementing standard features, processing support tickets, searching for and rectifying errors, creating documentation: many tasks in software development are routine activities. They are only moderately exciting to developers because they offer little variety and challenge. By contrast, their clear structures and rules make them ideal for AI-supported tools. The tools can reliably handle recurring tasks of this kind, giving developers the freedom to solve complex problems creatively, for example when designing and implementing application architectures.

adesso continues to push ahead with its international growth strategy, and opened a subsidiary in Belgium on 1 June 2025. The new presence in the heart of Brussels serves, among other things, as a strategic bridgehead to the European Union. adesso is therefore sending out a clear signal: the proximity to the European institutions is to be used in a targeted manner to strengthen collaboration with public-sector clients at EU level. In this way, the IT service provider is emphasising its commitment to playing an active role in shaping the digital transformation in Europe.

For the first time, adesso SE is the highest-ranked IT service provider from Germany in the latest Lünendonk list for ‘IT Consulting and System Integration’ 2025. This underlines the strong growth momentum and resilience of the Dortmund-based company in a challenging economic environment. Thanks to sales growth of 15 %, which was well above the average figure of 3.4 % for the 25 largest IT consulting and system integration companies in the list, adesso rose from sixth place in 2024 to fourth place in the ranking. With domestic sales of EUR 1.07 billion, adesso has a clear lead over German competitors such as msg (EUR 968.1 million) and Materna (EUR 580 million), and is well ahead of them in the most important German provider ranking for IT service providers.
