In its consolidated financial statements, adesso SE has confirmed the preliminary figures for 2022 that were published in mid-February. Group sales grew strongly again year on year, lifting the total figure by 33 % to a new record of EUR 900.3 million. Of that growth, 29 percentage points were organic. Accordingly, EBITDA stood at EUR 92.9 million (previous year: EUR 102.0 million). Excluding the non-recurring effect of EUR 17.9 million from a company sale in 2021, operating earnings (EBITDA) rose by 10 %. In addition to the capacity utilisation delays caused by the high pace of growth, as well as investments in corporate culture and infrastructure, significantly higher rates of sick leave in 2022 following the wide-scale lifting of COVID-19 protection measures prevented a greater increase in EBITDA. At 10.3 %, the EBITDA margin fell slightly short of the target corridor of 11 % to 12 %, whereas EBITDA and sales forecasts were achieved or exceeded.

adesso software can now be found almost everywhere in the public and private sectors. But one location adesso code had never been before is outer space. That changed in a flash this morning, when the research rocket MAPHEUS-12 took off for a mission above the earth lasting around 15 minutes, before returning safe and sound to the ESRANGE Space Center in Kiruna in northern Sweden. The use of adesso software in space marks the start of a cooperation with the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as part of the MAPHEUS sounding rocket programme.

adesso and Finnish software developer Fennica Gaming have launched an iGaming platform collaboration. The aim of the venture is to integrate eInstants – Fennica Gaming’s online scratch cards that are popular among Finnish customers – into adesso’s state-of-the-art iGaming platform LotteryForce, and then to offer this enhanced portfolio of games on the international lottery market. adesso will present the new offering for the first time at the World Lottery Summit 2022, which begins in Vancouver on 16 October.

adesso is further expanding its presence in northern Europe. The two new adesso Group subsidiaries in Sweden and Denmark will join adesso in Finland, allowing the successful IT service provider to continue its internationalisation. adesso Sweden and adesso Denmark will build on the acquisition of Purple Scout, an IT company with a solid foundation in both countries.
